Daniel Carr arrives from Huddersfield Town for 28 days.
Striker Daniel Carr has joined us on an emergency one-month loan from Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town.Â
The 20-year-old joins up with our squad with immediate effect and is available for selection in tonight’s Sky Bet League Two match away to Tranmere Rovers.
Â
Carr, who hails from South London, is no stranger to this level, having made five appearances during a loan spell at Fleetwood Town last season.
Â
He scored once – in a 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley on New Year’s Day.
Â
The youngster, who qualifies to play for Trinidad & Tobago at international level, has also made three first team appearances for his parent club.
Â
Born in Lambeth, Carr spent time with Reading between the age of 16 and 18, before gaining imperative senior experience during a loan spell at Dulwich Hamlet.
Â
He bagged 25 goals for the South London outfit during the 2012/13 campaign, which helped them win the Isthmian League (Division One South).
Â
After a short trial with Premier League giants Liverpool, he joined up with Huddersfield’s squad for a three-day training spell and subsequently put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract.
Â
Carr is eligible to stay with us until midnight on Monday 17 November. He has been allocated squad number 24.
