Underwood Villa hammered in first round of Nottinghamshire County Cup.
Our ladies team recorded their biggest win of the season as they hammered Underwood Villa, 6-0, in the first round of the Nottinghamshire Women’s County Cup yesterday afternoon.The Stagettes showed no mercy against their lower division opponents and were 2-0 up at the interval courtesy of goals by Daisy Pridden and Jemma Douglas.
The duo struck again after the re-start to extend the advantage to four goals, before Sheryl Gayle and Gemma Hodgkinson added to the rout in the closing stages.
The draw for the next round of the Nottinghamshire County Cup takes place on Wednesday.
Our ladies will be hoping to continue their ruthless form in front of goal when they travel to local rivals Radcliffe Olympic in the FA Women’s Premier League (Midland Division One) this weekend.
