16 May 2014

Sandy Pate Sports Bar. Friday 16 May (8.00pm). Make sure you don't miss out!

‘Verbal Warning’ will bring the 'spirit of 77' to One Call Stadium tonight for what promises to be an unmissable, all-action night out.

The band – fronted by Chad Sports Editor John Lomas – have been playing all over the country with the current line-up for over nine years, the first line-up having made their debut back in 1980.

A smash hit at beer festivals, the band have a great reputation and mix up songs from the golden years of punk/new wave/ska alongside their own inimitable high-energy versions of old chart hits.

There will also be a sprinkling of songs from more recent bands like Green Day, Blink 182 and The Hives mixed in with offerings from the band's two albums of their own excellent material.

They have supported many of the big names of punk rock on the circuit and appeared at many festivals such as Strummercamp, Bearded Theory, Concrete Jungle and Rebellion.

Original member Paul Tomlinson is on bass with Ian Humphrey on drums and Lee Daly on lead guitar.

This event takes place in the Sandy Pate Sports Bar on Friday 16 May (8.00pm). Entry is FREE for everyone, so make sure you don’t miss out.
