Manager Paul Cox has remained tight-lipped following speculation that clubs higher in the football pyramid are interested in securing the services of Sam Clucas.
It has been reported elsewhere in the media within the last hour that a Championship club has tabled a bid for the 23-year-old, whilst other clubs have also reputedly shown an interest in the midfielder.Manager Paul Cox told www.mansfieldtown.net: "The interest in Sam doesn't surprise me as he is a quality footballer."
Clucas has scored 11 goals in 24 appearances for us since making the switch from Hereford United in the summer.
