Preview: Daggers vs Stags

28 February 2014

Everything you need to know ahead of this Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture away to Dagenham & Redbridge...

TEAM NEWS

Manager Paul Cox will still be without James Jennings (quad) and Martin Riley (calf) for our trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.

However, winger Louis Briscoe, who returned to training this week following a back injury, could be in contention having completed a full 90 minutes in a midweek reserve match.

The Daggers could include Luke Norris in their squad as the on loan striker extended his spell with the club earlier this week.

RECENT FORM

Our team have accumulated eight points from their last six matches in Sky Bet League Two, having won two, drawn two and lost two.

The most recent of our defeats was on Tuesday when we lost 4-1 to Bury at One Call Stadium. Youngster Sam Clucas – our leading marksman – grabbed his 14th goal of the season in the defeat.

Meanwhile, Dagenham have been in indifferent form in recent weeks.

Wayne Burnett’s team have won just one of their last seven league fixtures – a surprise 1-0 victory over promotion-chasing Rochdale on Saturday 01 February.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS

Our team were 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture with Dagenham & Redbridge at One Call Stadium in August. Sam Clucas opened the scoring, before Jamie McGuire and Matt Rhead netted after the re-start. To watch highlights, click here.

Our only previous visit to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium was in May 2008. The Daggers won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Ben Strevens and Paul Benson.

Our full record against the Daggers is as follows: Won 1, Drew 0, Lost 2.
