Preview: Daggers vs Stags

28 February 2014

Everything you need to know ahead of this Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture away to Dagenham & Redbridge...

Manager Paul Cox will still be without James Jennings (quad) and Martin Riley (calf) for our trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.

However, winger Louis Briscoe, who returned to training this week following a back injury, could be in contention having completed a full 90 minutes in a midweek reserve match.

The Daggers could include Luke Norris in their squad as the on loan striker extended his spell with the club earlier this week.

Our team have accumulated eight points from their last six matches in Sky Bet League Two, having won two, drawn two and lost two.

The most recent of our defeats was on Tuesday when we lost 4-1 to Bury at One Call Stadium. Youngster Sam Clucas – our leading marksman – grabbed his 14th goal of the season in the defeat.

Meanwhile, Dagenham have been in indifferent form in recent weeks.

Wayne Burnett’s team have won just one of their last seven league fixtures – a surprise 1-0 victory over promotion-chasing Rochdale on Saturday 01 February.

Our team were 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture with Dagenham & Redbridge at One Call Stadium in August. Sam Clucas opened the scoring, before Jamie McGuire and Matt Rhead netted after the re-start. To watch highlights, click here.

Our only previous visit to the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium was in May 2008. The Daggers won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Ben Strevens and Paul Benson.

Our full record against the Daggers is as follows: Won 1, Drew 0, Lost 2.

The Football League has appointed Mr Gavin Ward as the referee for this fixture. He will be ably assisted by Mr Andrew Aylott and Mr Nicholas Cooper. The Fourth Official is Mr Barry Holderness.

Supporters should pay on the turnstiles at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium.

We will be housed in the Traditional Builders Stand, which is a covered all-seater stand, situated behind the goal.

Follow the M25 clockwise until junction 27 and take the M11 towards London. Proceed along the M11 and when the road splits at the end of the motorway, follow signs for A406 South & A13. After five miles, take the slip road on the left (signposted A13 Dagenham, Tilbury and Southend). At the fifth set of traffic signals close to a McDonalds restaurant, turn left onto the A1112 (Ballards Road). Continue straight until you reach the Bull Roundabout, where you need to bear left and go past Dagenham East Tube Station. The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium is the fifth turning on the left-hand side.

Supporters should take a District Line (Eastbound) service from Central London and alight at Dagenham East. This station is only a five-minute walk from the stadium and is well-signposted.
