Cheltenham Town half-time entertainment

We welcomed Sherwood Colliery Under 11s to One Call Stadium. Youngsters from the local junior team played an inter-squad match during the half-time interval. We hope that all the youngsters involved had a memorable experience.

Girls going for glory

Girls from Joseph Whitaker School will be going for glory when they take part in the Kinder+Sport Under 13s area finals early in the New Year.

The competition, which is run in association with the Football League, gives young females the opportunity to play at Wembley Stadium during the half-time interval of this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final.

The girls, who will represent Mansfield Town in the area finals, will go up against schools representing clubs such as Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Chesterfield.

The area finals will be played at Derby County’s iPro Stadium on Friday 16 January. The winners will progress to the national finals – and then on to Wembley Stadium, if they are lucky.

Under 11s Kids Cup

More than 25 schools have entered our competition to decide which school will represent Mansfield Town in the Kinder+Sport Under 11s Kids Cup later this season.

So far, pupils from Peafield Lane Academy, St Philip Neri, Brierley Forest, Halam, Lowe's Wong and Abbeygates have progressed to our semi-final stage, which will be staged on Wednesday 14 January.

Two more schools will join them in the semi-finals as Forest Town, Abbey, Crescent, Samuel Barlow, Sutton Road, Whaley Thorns and Mapplewells are still to battle it out.

Our winning school could compete at Wembley Stadium in the half-time of this season’s League Two play-off final, should they progress through regional and national qualifying stages.

50/50 Shoot-Out Fundraiser

Our Football in the Community team recently held some sessions at Brierley Forest School, where youngsters were taught a wide-range of football skills.

Children took part in several fun-based activities and afterwards got the chance to enter our penalty shoot-out fundraiser competition.

The youngsters involved raised a whopping £1,350, which is a fantastic effort. Pictured is F.I.T.C Officer Sean Lynk and children from the school.

We hope all the youngsters who participated enjoyed our sessions and we look forward to visiting the school again in the near future.

Kids Christmas Party Sold-Out

We are proud to announce that this year's kids Christmas party at Jango's Play Centre is officially sold-out.

Over 80 children are set to attend our festive fun party, whilst ‘Sammy the Stag’ and several Mansfield Town players have also confirmed that they will be attending. There may even be a special visit from the big man himself – Santa Claus.
