Ladies travel to Leicester City Ladies for first match in newly-formed FA Women’s Premier League.
Our ladies team embark on an exciting new era this weekend when they play their inaugural match in the newly-formed FA Women’s Premier League (Midland Division One).The Stagettes travel to Leicester City Ladies for their season-opener on Sunday, and it is expected to be a closely-fought match.
Several summer signing could make their competitive debuts for the club, including goalkeeper Emily Gascoyne, defender Gina Shaw, midfielder Daisy Pridden and forward Sheryl Gayle.
Sunday’s match will be played at the 4,500-capacity Leicester Road Stadium, Hinckley. Postcode: LE10 3DR. Entry is FREE for all supporters.
Director of Women’s Football, Allan Woodfield, said: “This is an exciting new era for the club as we embark on our first season in the FA Women’s Premier League.
“We’ve had some good results in pre-season, so if you can get down to Hinckley on Sunday and cheer us on, it would be greatly appreciated.”
