Squad numbers confirmed for new campaign

5 August 2014

New numbers revealed ahead of our season-opener at Northampton Town.

We are pleased to announce our squad numbers for the 2014/15 season.

Of the more traditional numbers, playmaker Fergus Bell is our new number seven with talisman Liam 'the hitman' Hearn taking the number 10 shirt.

Striker Alex Fisher will wear number eight, whilst midfielder Simon Heslop is number 16.

Defender Luke Jones returned to One Call Stadium for his third spell earlier this summer and the 27-year-old will wear number five.

Elsewhere, Swiss shot-stopper Sascha Studer will don the number one jersey, as was expected.

Long-term loanee Amari'i Bell is number 32 – the same number he has been allocated at his parent club, Birmingham City.

Our latest summer recruit, left-back Rob Taylor, has been allocated the number 22 shirt.

Meanwhile, several players who were at the club last term have also changed shirt numbers ahead of the new campaign.

Defender Martin Riley is now number three with fellow centre-back Ryan Tafazolli taking the number six shirt.

Midfielder Jamie McGuire will wear number 12 this season, whilst frontman Ollie Palmer has swapped to become our new number 14.

Defender Lee Beevers has changed to number 18, and youngsters Liam Marsden and Jack Thomas are now numbers 19 and 20, respectively.
