Community team visit Hathersage

Youngsters enjoy fun and games during walk along nature trail.

The summer holidays may be drawing to a close, but our Football in the Community team have been busy again over the past few weeks.

Their latest excursion saw them visit Hathersage, Derbyshire.

The children who came on the event enjoyed a walk through the various nature trails, before being split into two teams where the challenge was to hide 20 flags for the opposition team to find.

Once the teams crossed halfway point at Toad's Mouth, the hunt was on to find the hidden flags. Ultimately, ‘Team Lynky’ emerged victorious after collecting 16 out of the 20 flags.

After lunch, the children had some fun by a little stream with activities including kite flying and swinging on ropes.

This trip was very enjoyable and a great day out – just ask Ryan Mee about his little swim, or should we say splash, in the stream.
