TRAVEL

Supporters should be aware that the Sky Ride York cycling event takes place in York City centre tomorrow. As a result, a number of roads may be closed for vehicle access. Further details about the face can be found here, whilst a map showing the affected route can be found here.

By Road:

From the A1 Junction 44, take the A64 to Scarborough and York. When you near York, join the A1237 Ring Road and continue on this road until you reach the junction with the A19. Turn right at the junction and take the A19 towards York city centre. Stay on this road until you get to a pub on your left called the ‘Burton Stone Inn’, at which point you turn left into Burton Stone Lane. Then take the first right into Grosvenor Road for Bootham Crescent.

By Rail:

York station is approximately a 15 minute walk from Bootham Crescent. The quickest route is to leave the station via the main car park (avoiding the main exit) and take the new pedestrian footpath, which is next to the Post Office building. Turn left twice in quick succession, and cross the River Ouse using the footpath adjacent to the railway line. Continue along this footpath, ensuring the railway is on you left-hand side, and walk through Marygate car park. At the far end of the car park, cross under the railway line (using the subway) and turn into Bootham Terrace. Continue up Bootham Terrace and take a left turn, where you will need to cross the road. At the newsagents, turn right onto Bootham Crescent, and the ground will be visible in the distance.

Parking:

If you arrive early enough, there is street parking to be found in a number of side roads close to Burton Stone Lane. Otherwise, you are advised to park in one of the numerous ‘Pay and Display’ car parks, which are located near to the city centre, as many ‘Residents Only’ parking schemes are in operation in the streets close to Bootham Crescent,

TICKETS:

Saturday's match at Bootham Crescent is ALL-TICKET.

York City have informed us that there will strictly be no ticket sales on the day, whatsoever. Supporters who are not in possession of a match ticket are strongly advised not to travel.
