Striker Calvin Andrew has expressed his delight following his first goal for the club in our fantastic 1-0 victory at Chesterfield today.
Andrew headed home Ben Hutchinsonâs corner on 38 minutes, for what proved to be the only goal in a thoroughly pulsating encounter.
Our victory at the Proact Stadium, our first against The Spireites since January 2003, also ended Chesterfield's unbeaten start to the campaign.
âWe could have scored a few from set-pieces today and I thought we were very well organised which was the key,â said Andrew.Â
âI scored the goal but the plaudits should go to our whole unit. It was a professional job and every player put in a good performance.
âEach and every single player [even the ones that came off the bench] were all in the same boat, putting in a good job.Â
âIt was important for the fans as well as us, so after my goal I ran the whole length of the pitch to show my appreciation for the support they have given me.â
Todayâs victory has lifted us into third position in the Sky Bet League Two table, and Andrew believes that our side can accomplish anything we want to this season.
He added: âWe are very happy with the result as we have all been pulling the same direction.Â
âItâs good to get a result like that, but now we have to look forward to the next game.Â
âI know itâs an old clichĂ©, but with the ability and quality that we have within the squad, we can achieve anything that we want to achieve this season.âÂ
