Our youth team made it three wins out of three in the FCYA (Midland Division) with a fantastic 5-1 win at Corby Town yesterday.
Dan Fletcher netted twice, taking his tally for the campaign to five goals, whilst Chris Spencer, Kevin Hemagou and Luke Darby were also on the score-sheet.
The young Stags raced into an early advantage as Fletcher opened the scoring with a follow-up effort, after Keiran Coupe's attempt was spilled by the Corby keeper.
Hemagou doubled the lead with a sumptuous strike from the edge of the area, before Fletcher made it 3-0 before the interval.
Spencer extended our lead to 4-0 with a right-foot strike from 25 yards shortly after the re-start, but The Steelmen pulled a goal back through Sam Churcher.
However, our five-star youngsters added a fifth in the closing stages, when substitute Darby smashed the ball home amidst a goalmouth scramble.
The victory strengthens our position at the top of the FCYA (Midland Division) table, which can be viewed
