Stags support Kayleb in dream trip

7 October 2013

We are supporting terminally ill child Kayleb Godfrey in his bid to raise funds for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Disney World, Florida, early next year.

Kayleb’s family are hoping to reach a £5,000 target to take them and the seven year old on the trip to the States next February for his eighth birthday.

With approximately £4,000 already raised and part funded by the Make A Wish Foundation, Kayleb’s family will be holding a bucket collection in and around the ground ahead of tomorrow night's home match against Chesterfield and we would kindly ask you to give generously.

Local boy Kayleb was born with cerebal palsy, global developmental delay and chronic liver disease. His family have been told recently that it is in Kayleb’s best interests for the youngster to avoid a liver transplant.
Kayleb, who is on an End of Life plan, is hoping to make tomorrow's match as our guests.

Private donations can be made via www.gofundme.com/3qd4s4.

Writing in tomorrow’s match programme Chairman John Radford said: “It is at times like this when football matches of any kind are put into their true perspective and I thank in advance both our fans as well as those from Chesterfield for their kind donations.”
