Our youth team have consolidated top spot in the FCYA (Midland Division), following a 2-1 win at Northampton Town this afternoon.
Billy Simpson opened the scoring with his third goal of the campaign on 10 minutes, with Jordan Jones claiming the assist.
Skipper Jack Thomas doubled our lead shortly after the re-start with a cute finish, following some good work on the left flank by Ross Lamb.
Northampton converted a spot-kick to reduce arrears in the closing stages, but our youngsters bravely held on to record their fifth win in the FCYA.

The match takes place at the Worksop Van Hire Stadium in Clipstone, NG21 9DP. Admission is just £2 and a snack bar will also be open.
