Kids enjoy spooky Halloween party

In conjunction with the Stags Supporters Association (SSA), we held our annual Halloween Party at Rainy Days Play Centre last month.

Over 50 children came to the party and had plenty of fun – especially during a super-spooky disco.

Defender Paul Black was the special guest judge for our fancy dress competition and is had a fantastic time with all the kids.

The Football League Girls Cup

The half-time entertainment at Saturday’s match with Oxford United was provided by our two finalists from the Football League Girls Under 13 Cup competition, which was held last week.

Local schools were given the opportunity to enter the qualifying stages, where every team played in a league format, before the top two schools progressed through to Saturday’s Play-Off Final.

This is a national competition run by the Football League and the winning school will represent Mansfield Town in the regional finals in Derby, which take place in March 2014.

If the school is fortunate to qualify from the regional stages, they will then play at Wembley Stadium at half-time in the Johnstone Paint Trophy Final in April.

We would like to thank the following schools for entering this competition: Garibaldi, Quarrydale, Joseph Whitaker, Meden, QE Academy, Dukeries and Brunts Academy.

Good luck in Canada!

We would like to wish good luck to Samuel Lindo, a regular attendee at our football activities, who is moving to pastures new in Canada with all his family.
