Stags & 103.2 agree broadcast deal

29 July 2013

Mansfield Town Football Club and Mansfield 103.2 are delighted to have agreed a partnership which will see exclusive commentary of all Stags’ away games in the club’s first season back in the Football League.

The Town’s local radio station will also broadcast an unrivalled programme on matchdays at the One Call Stadium, providing an extensive preview of the game in the build up to kick off.

In a joint statement, Mansfield Town’s Operations Directors Paul & Tina Broughton said:  “We are very pleased to have to have reached an agreement over away commentary rights and to continue our excellent working relationship with Mansfield 103.2.  We also plan to work with the radio station throughout this season on a number of key initiatives.”

Mansfield 103.2’s Managing Director Tony Delahunty said:   “'Now that Mansfield Town are back where they belong in the Football League, Mansfield 103.2 can fully support the club and I believe our relationship with the club has never been stronger.  I am delighted with the name ‘Stags FM’ being used as the station’s name on matchdays at the One Call.’ ”

The Stags’ home commentaries will be broadcast only on the club’s online subscription service Stags Player via www.mansfieldtown.net, with away commentaries available online on Stags Player and on Mansfield 103.2.

Meanwhile, the radio station’s popular show, ‘The Friday Night Football Forum’ is set to continue, hosted weekly by Jason Harrison from 6-7pm.
