Rainworth Miners Welfare have informed us that they are ‘confident’ our scheduled Pre-Season clash tonight will go ahead as planned.
Torrential rain and overnight thunderstorms have put the fixture in doubt, but a spokesman for The Wrens is confident the Kirklington Road pitch can cope.
Manager Paul Cox said: “The pitch at Rainworth is usually a good one for standing water, so we’ve got our fingers crossed that the match will be on.”
The match at Rainworth MW is due to begin at 7.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the turnstiles and cost £7 Adults, £4 Concessions (Senior Citizens & Students) and £2 Under 16’s.
