Mansfield Town are set for another stern examination tomorrow when David Weir’s Sheffield United visit One Call Stadium (k/o 3.00pm).
Weir, who was appointed as The Blades’ manager last month, was in attendance as we ruthlessly put Peterborough United to the sword in midweek.
However, the South Yorkshire outfit have been in fine form themselves this pre-season, and are yet to have been beaten in any of their four outings.
During a three-match tour of Scotland, a 1-1 draw at Cowdenbeath was sandwiched between victories over Greenock Morton (1-0) and Raith Rovers (2-1).
Last Saturday, The Blades earned a hard-fought 3-1 win at Bury with Jasper Johns, Jamie Murphy and Stephen McGinn on the score-sheet.
And Lyle Taylor looks set to make his debut for United tomorrow, having joined the club from Falkirk earlier this week.
