We can confirm that Andy Owens has agreed to extend his loan stay at Southport until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old joined the Sandgrounders on loan in November and has been operating as a striker for Liam Watson’s side in recent weeks.
Owens, who was due to return to One Call Stadium on January 12, netted his first goal of the campaign in Southport’s FA Trophy First Round victory over Stafford Rangers.
He also scored in the Sandgrounders’ 4-3 Blue Square Bet Premier win at Stockport County last month.
