Moved Woking match may help - Cox

25 February 2013

Our league fixture away at Woking on Wednesday 06 March, which was moved back by 24 hours, will help the recuperation of the Mansfield Town players, manager Paul Cox claimed today.

Hosts Woking re-arranged the fixture from Tuesday 05 March to ‘avoid a clash with the televised Champions League match between Manchester United and Real Madrid.’

It is the third time this season in which this fixture has been rescheduled.

Cox said:  “I think the game will give us a little more rest and time to recuperate from the Saturday game [at Telford].  It is just another fixture in which we have to show mental strength, desire and hunger.”

Cox’s side have 15 matches left to play in the league, finishing with Wrexham at home on Saturday April 20, at the later kick off time of 5.15pm.
