CEO to donate column fee to charity

14 February 2013

Carolyn Radford, our Chief Executive Officer, will donate a fee to charity each month, it was confirmed today.

Mrs Radford, who is given a monthly fee from the Daily Mail for writing a monthly column, is set to see her second article published later this month.

The Footballers’ Football Column, featured once a month on MailOnline, is about football, by people involved in football. It rotates among a key band of columnists including Jamie Carragher, Kevin Nolan, David Moyes, El Hadji Diouf and Martin Allen.

The money will head towards the cost of a new MRI scanner at King's Mill Hospital, Mansfield.

Said Mrs Radford: "The MRI Scanner appeal is a cause close to our hearts.

"Our players and staff have helped to raise funds previously and we will continue to help our local hospital to purchase this state-of-the-art scanner which will ultimately help local people."

Just over £160,000 has been raised so far towards the purchase MRI scanner, which will cost £750,000.

Donations to the MRI appeal can be made by calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque. All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
