Our youngsters made it six wins from seven in the FCYA (Midland Division) with a 3-1 victory over NC Central at Kirklington Road today.
After a tightly-fought opening 30 minutes, Joe Flint broke the deadlock with a spectacular volley, which gave the visiting keeper no chance.
The visitors equalised shortly after the re-start, but Liam Marsden (pictured) quickly re-established our advantage with his first goal of the season, following Matty Jones’ corner.
Jones was also involved in our third goal as he linked up with skipper Jack Thomas in a great passing move, who was brought down inside the area.
Thomas converted the subsequent spot-kick and our young guns held onto their two-goal advantage without too much trouble, to earn another three points.

Our youngsters’ next match is in the First Round of the H-K-L North Midlands League Cup tomorrow night, when they host Ollerton Town (7.45pm).
