New Sandy Pate Bar ready for business

23 August 2013

The final touches were applied to our newly refurbished Sandy Pate Bar this evening ahead of tomorrow's big match at home to Portsmouth.

The stylish new bar, which is open to all supporters from noon tomorrow, cost the club £80,000, which included generous donations from the Stags Supporters Association (£10,000), Greene King, Booker, Mansfield Carpets, Acorn Signs and Ollerton Stags.

Now boasting five private booths, named after Stags cult heroes including current captain Adam Murray, fans can hire the cubicles and take advantage of waitress service and a private plasma screen showing Sky Sports, BT Sport, as well as a live feed of the Stags' match itself.

Joint Operations Director Tina Broughton said: "We wanted a nice sports bar which we can open seven days a week and we're now in the final stages in time for tomorrow's game.

"For tomorrow, people will be able to sit where they like but afterwards, Paul Nyland (commercial manager) will be selling the booths for £30 each.

"It is without a doubt one of the best supporters bars in the Football League," she added.

Commercial manager Paul Nyland said:  "We hope the fans will enjoy the new look Sandy Pate Sports Bar.  We are very grateful for the help of our sponsors and supporters' clubs and I am sure this will enhance the fans' matchday experience."

To book a booth for the Dagenham & Redbridge match on Saturday 31 September, call Paul on 01623 482 482 or sales@mansfieldtown.net
