CEO has high hopes for ladies team

29 August 2013

Chief Executive Officer and Ladies Chairwoman Carolyn Radford hopes the local community will spur her ladies side to success.

Speaking in a recent interview with our online broadcasting station, Stags Player, Mrs Radford said:  "It’s vital that we give our ladies team as much support as possible.

“I want to try and help promote women’s football as much as I can. It’s fantastic that we now have a ladies team at Mansfield Town.

“The team will stay very much as it was last season, and with our added support and guidance, we can hopefully win another promotion.”

Manager Allan Woodfield said: “We’re very proud to be associated with Mansfield Town Football Club and these are exciting times for everyone.

“The partnership came about after Carolyn Radford got in touch with us, and asked how she could get involved and support us.

“What Carolyn has already done for us has helped to drive women’s football forwards. It’s made us all feel very proud to be a part of this club.”

The Stagettes opened their season on Saturday with a 2-2 draw at home to Leicester City Ladies.  A full fixture list can be found here.
