A Mansfield Town XI travel to Stoke Lane tonight to face Carlton Town in a friendly fixture (kick-off 7.30pm).
It will be a historic occasion as this is the first ever 'public' match between the two clubs, though we did meet in a hastily-arranged behind-closed-doors fixture last term.
The Millers, who are managed by Les McJannet, finished 12th in the Evo-Stik Division One (South) in the 2012/13 campaign, winning 16 out of their 42 league encounters.
Youngsters Jack Thomas and Jordan Vilums, who scored on his debut for the club, were amongst those to gain vital senior experience during loan spells at Carlton.
