Manager Paul Cox has insisted that the Blue Square Bet Premier title race will be decided on the last day of the season, following our 2-1 defeat at Braintree Town.
Matt Green put us ahead early in the first period, before the hosts battled back to earn all three points thanks to goals from Matt Paine and Kaine Sheppard.
âI honestly thought we became tentative and a little bit anxious. We looked nervous and switched off twice, but you have to give credit to Braintree,â said our boss.
âThey were two poor goals to concede. Everyone around seemed nervous today, but we need to embrace that as weâre playing for a championship.
âWe needed a second goal as a cushion to settle us down, but it didnât come. But itâs gone now, itâs over and itâs done with. We have to move on.
âI donât expect anyone to roll over and let us win it [the league].â
He added: âWe canât afford to be nervous now and itâs a test of character. Iâve said all along that itâll go down to the wire and we need to win [at Hereford].â
