Step up to the mantle urges Cox

5 November 2012

Paul Cox has today called on his players to resurrect the team’s poor away form.

We head into tomorrow night’s match at Nuneaton Town with the joint-poorest away record in the division.

And Cox urged his players to take responsibility for their away performances at this morning’s press meeting.

“Players have to step up to the mark,” said Cox.  “There’s still a good 90 points to play for.  We’ve had an up and down start to the season and we need to start stepping up to the mantle now.”

Looking ahead to the match, he added:  “It’s an away game and we want to put that away form right as soon as possible.  If we show the same effort, performance and desire [tomorrow night] then we did in the second half on Saturday then we’ll win more games than we lose.”

In team news, Adam Murray may return to the fold after missing the last two games with injury.  But the match will come too soon for Ryan Tafazolli and Jamie Hand, however, who remain injured.
