Mansfield Town’s first team players were out spreading festive cheer to local children this afternoon, less than 24 hours after a historic FA Cup win.
The Stags’ players, who have now set up a mouth watering FA Cup Third Round tie against Liverpool following last night’s 2-1 win at home to Lincoln City, took time out of their schedule to visit sick children in King’s Mill Hospital, Mansfield.
The team, who had clubbed together in recent weeks to buy presents for the children, donned Santa hats and brought goody bags for the kids during the hour-long visit.
Manager Paul Cox said: “We just hope we have brought a little sunshine to their lives. It’s been a worthwhile visit.”
