Preview: Forest Green v Stags

16 December 2021

The Stags face table-toppers Forest Green Rovers this weekend in Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match (3pm).

TEAMNEWS2.jpgMansfield will be without defender James Perch for the remainder of the season after he fractured his skull in training.

Midfielder Ollie Clarke is set to be assessed ahead of any possible inclusion in the matchday squad for Saturday’s game.

Striker Danny Johnson is unlikely to feature but began training at RH Academy last week after getting an ankle injury against Newcastle under-21s last month.

Defender Will Forrester will be out until January after sustaining ankle ligament damage.

PH-RECENTFORM.jpgThe Stags have won nine out of the last ten games in all competitions.

Last weekend’s well-fought 2-1 victory at home to Salford was the Stags’ fifth consecutive victory at One Call Stadium.

Forest Green sit top of the Sky Bet League Two table.

Rovers have lost only twice at home in the league all season.

PH-LASTTIMEWEMET.jpgThe last time the two teams met was in a Sky Bet League Two match at One Call Stadium in March 2021. The game finished 0-0.
