Vastly experienced midfielder Kevan Hurst became Adam Murray's seventh signing of the summer when he put pen-to-paper at the end of June 2016.
Hurst has achieved success in League Two with Southend United, his former club, gaining promotion in 2015.
A highly fruitful four-year spell at Roots Hall saw the 30-year-old make over 150 appearances. In his first season at Southend, he recorded the highest number of assists in League Two.
Starting his career at Sheffield United, he was then bought by Scunthorpe for £200,000 in 2007.
After impressing at Glanford Park, Hurst was subject to a £100,000 move to then League One outfit Carlisle United before signing for Walsall and then Southend.
