Fans and local residents now have the chance to hit the jackpot in Mansfield's first ever lottery.

We are launching the scheme that guarantees a weekly prize fund of £1,000 which may increase once the project expands. Smaller prizes can also be also be won by lucky lotto winners.

It costs only £1 to play and the first draw is coming soon.

For each entry you will receive seven lucky numbers which are yours to keep.

You will be able to enter by filling in a form setting up a Standing Order paying £1 per draw for the minimum of a month. These forms will be available at newsagents, supermarkets and pubs in the area and are downloadable from mansfieldtown.net. Entries will also be taken by us over the phone.

You are also encouraged to become agents with slices of the sales you generate being paid as a fee. The winners of each draw will be announced on Mansfield 103.2 and in the Chad.

Former Chairman Andrew Perry said: "It's one of the ways we are trying to provide innovative ways of supporting the club. Everyone who signs up will get their own membership card with a seven-digit number which is exclusively theirs for the draw.

"We've spoken to supporters' groups who are very much behind it, and people will be able to sign up to be agents who will get 10% back of what they bring in."
