Our youngsters were defeated for the first time this season, with a 2-1 loss at home to York City on Saturday.

Conor Higginson levelled the game on 27 minutes, after York had taken the lead.  But the visitors' regained their advantage to condemn Stags' to their first defeat of the North East Conference campaign.

Youth boss David Jervis told mansfieldtown.net:  "It was a below-par performance and we should've been 2-0 ahead after the first five minutes.  It was a poor display and we have a lot to work on."
