Young Oliver Hotchkiss is one of the newest addition to Mansfield's squad. The former Sunderland trainee joined the team as an emergency loan from Leeds United, but the manager had kept an eye on the talented midfielder for a long time.

The gaffer has described the youngster as a creative midfielder with great ball skills and good passing, dubbing him as a young Gary McAllister.

Hotchkiss also got a positive reference from ex team-mate Scott Gardner who is firmly established at MTFC.

Oliver has an attacking mindset - he likes to keep things exciting by playing forward and trying to bag a goal whenever opportunity arises. The playmaker is also never shy for a tackle. He takes the comparison to McAllister as a massive compliment, giving his all to live up to the expectations at Field Mill.
