Scott Gardner is a product of the Leeds United academy and can operate as a right sided midfielder or is equally as comfortable at right-back.
Gardner made his Leeds United debut in 2007 when he played against Macclesfield Town in the League Cup, in a game which Leeds won 1-0. First team opportunities were few and far between however for Gardner and he only made one other appearance for the first team before being sent on loan to Leeds-based conference outfit Farsley Celtic. He played three times for Farsley before returning to Elland Road.
Towards the end of the 2008/2009 season he signed for The Stags on loan until the end of the season, where he made three appearances in our colours. After the termination of his contract at Elland Road Gardner signed a permanent deal at Field Mill ahead of the up and coming campaign.
