Australian born Kyle Nix began his career as a young professional at both Manchester United and Aston Villa before joining Sheffield United in 2005.
After failing to make a single appearance at Bramall Lane he moved to non-league Buxton and played six times. In 2007, the left winger was offered a short term contract at Bradford City by manager Stuart McCall, who knew Nix from his time at Sheffield United.
Nix netted on his debut for The Bantams in a Carling Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers and made his league debut three days later at Shrewsbury Town.
After an impressive run of performance for Bradford City he was offered a longer deal which would keep him at the club until the end of the 2008/2009 season.
After struggling with injuries Nix was released at the end of last season but was promised by McCall that he could return if he couldn't find another club. This offer was rejected by the player.
Upon his return from holiday Nix turned down offers from League Two clubs to join The Stags and became the clubs eleventh new signing.
Nix also bring international experience to the club having represented England from Under 16's all the way to Under 20's. Whilst playing for the Under 17's he scored twice in a 4-0 victory over the Faroe Islands whilst playing in the Nordic International tournament in 2002.
