Jake Speight began his career at Sheffield United but was released in 2005 without making a first team appearance for the club.
He subsequently joined Scarborough spending three months on the coast before joining Bury where he played 29 times and scored two goals.
Short-term spells at Northwich Victoria, Farsley Celtic and Droyslden followed but this summer manager David Holdsworth pounced to sign the 23 year old striker on a one year contract.
