Chris Smith, 29, was snapped up by Leeds United playing for a local junior team in Derby at the start of his career in football.
After his time at the Elland Road outfit, he opted to join Reading's youth academy at 15 before signing a professional contract three years later.In 2001, he joined York City before signing permanently four months later.
Spells at Worcester City and Stafford Rangers followed before putting pen to paper with Tamworth in 2008.He was soon to be their captain, but rejected a new deal at the Lamb in the summer to sign for us at Field Mill.
