Our next fundraising event is VIRTUAL SNAIL RACING on Saturday 21st November 2009. Attached is an invite plus a list of all Snails racing on the night. Some don't yet have owners if you would like to "adopt" them to win wine and chocolates for just £2. Or, if you fancy a bigger gamble you can own one of the Snails in Race 8 for £20, for the chance win match-day hospitality in the Kevin Bird Suite for 4 people, courtesy of the SSA.

We have also launched our Christmas fundraiser in conjunction with the football club: Pay tribute to someone special this Christmas with MTFC & OSSC's LIGHT UP A LIFE APPEAL:

It couldn't be simpler... Write a message to a loved one on the Light Up a Life Appeal Application Form (attached and also available from the Ticket Office, Club Shop & Sandy Pate Bar or online at www.ollertonstags.co.uk) and return it to the club to be transferred onto a Bauble and hung next to a fairy light on the eight foot Sandy Pate Bar tree which is going up in the next week!!

Lighting up a Life costs just £5.00 with all money raised by Ollerton Stags Supporters Club donated back to the football club. Examples of how you could dedicate your Bauble include a "Come on You Stags" message to your favourite player, an "I Love You" to your partner, or it could be a thoughtful way to pay tribute to a lost loved one in their memory. Supporters of this initiative will receive a Certificate via email and be named alongside their message on OSSC's website.

The tree will be available for you to visit throughout December including at Christmas events and home matches in the Sandy Pate Bar. Please support Ollerton Stags Supporters Club and Mansfield Town FC, but most importantly show those dear to you how much they really mean this festive season.

OSSC's main aim is to support and promote Mansfield Town FC both on and off the pitch in the form of sponsorship, fundraising and publicity. Since the new ownership of the club in summer 2008, we have:

Assisted Mansfield Town with their season ticket road show at Ollerton

Funded a Lectern for the refurbished Kevin Bird Suite

Sponsored the kits of Kyle Nix, Conor Higginson and Nick Langford for the 09-10 season

Attended the Father's Day meal at Field Mill in June 09

Supported the Open Day at Field Mill in July 09

Had a pitch side sponsorship board designed and erected

Committed to being Shirt of the Day sponsors at Field Mill for the Hayes and Yeading game on 26/09/09

Offered money to the Grounds man/Physio for equipment

Hosted a meeting with David Holdsworth, Andrew Perry and Conor Higginson on 14/09/09

For the past six seasons OSSC has been run by a committee of just two, yet each year we manage to raise enough money to reinvest an average of £60 per member back into the Stags, and hope to continue doing this for many years to come.
