Experienced left back signs

Posted on: Fri 28 May 2010

Veteran defender Kevin Sandwith has today put pen to paper on a one year deal.

He becomes the second defender to sign this afternoon, following the capture of Steve Foster an hour ago.

The 32 year old, who began his career with Carlisle United, has made over 300 appearances in a career spanning 15 years.

He lists seven other clubs on his CV including Oxford United, where he played last season, making 22 appearances.

Manager David Holdsworth told www.mansfieldtown.net:  "Along with Chris Smith, Kevin shows the attributes of reliability and durability.  He brings great knowledge to our back four."

"He is a focused and professional individual," he added.
