Ex-Rochdale striker Jon Shaw will sign for us tomorrow on an 18 month contract.

The 26 year old began his career at Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Burton Albion in the summer of 2004.

Jon, who stands at 6ft 1in, scored 31 goals in all competitions during his time with Burton, and his talents were soon spotted by Halifax Town, who paid an undisclosed fee for his services in August 2007.

He netted no fewer than 27 times for The Shay and subsequently moved for another undisclosed fee to Rochdale in 2008.

A year ago, he joined Crawley Town on loan, scoring five times in 18 appearances.  Eight months later, he linked up with Barrow, bagging five goals in 15 starts.

Shaw then had a brief loan spell at Gateshead last month and has today terminated his contract with Rochdale to join us.
