Manager David Holdsworth has told mansfieldtown.net that out of contract winger Nathan Arnold is not part of his plans for next season.

The 21 year old is now considered to be surplus to requirements following yesterday's signing of Kyle Nix.

Arnold, a product of our youth system, had recently been training with our first team since they returned on Monday.

Manager David Holdsworth told mansfieldtown.net:  "After various discussions with Nathan throughout the summer, it has been decided that he will now move on.

"We invited him to come back and earn a contract this summer, but after signing Kyle Nix, I believe that Nathan's first team opportunities would become scarce. 

"The young man has been at the club for some time and I wanted to treat him with respect, as I do with all the players.

"He won't be part of the squad, but I would like to wish him well and I am sure he will be fondly remembered here."
