Tricky left-footed winger Kyle Nix has today become David Holdsworth's 11th signing of the close season.

The manager entered double figures last week with the signing of striker Kyle Perry - and his squad continues to strengthen with this latest addition.

Nix is a former Manchester United trainee and his talents were spotted by Aston Villa at the early age of when the West Midlands club paid a six figure sum for his services.

After a three year stint at Villa Park the 5 ft 6 winger left to join Sheffield United aged just 20, before linking up with Bradford City - where he has spent the past two years.

In season 2007/08 Nix scored eight goals in 25 starts for the Valley Parade outfit.

The 23 year old, who has been on trial with us only three days, also has over 20 England caps at youth level.

Manager David Holdsworth has again overcome competition from League Two clubs to capture his signature.

With the ink barely dry on his two year contract, Nix told www.mansfieldtown.net:  "Everyone here seems to share the same ambition and drive.  I am determined to get back into the Football League with Mansfield."

Speaking to www.mansfieldtown.net manager David Holdsworth said:  "We are delighted to be able to attract another League player to our club.

"He is an attacking-minded midfield player who has a wonderful ability on the ball.  He and Ryan Williams are two very good assets."

"Stuart McCall (Bradford's manager) spoke extremely highly of Kyle," he added.
