Richardson returns as reserve coach
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Neil Richardson as Reserve Team Coach.
A former player, Neil has also been on our coaching staff before at Field Mill as assistant to Stuart Watkiss. Since then he has undertaken the role of Head of Youth at Boston United and youth coach at York City (under our current boss Billy McEwan).
More recently he has been working part time at Tottenham Hotspur.
Manager Billy McEwan told mansfieldtown.net: "I am delighted Neil has joined us. I'm sure he'll be a valuable asset to the short and long term future of the club.
"Neil will be taking charge of the reserve team and will be coming along with me to first team games. And, like most coaches at this level, he will be multi-tasking, which will include watching various players and opponents."
Neil told us: "It's nice to be back. From what I remember it was a great club.
"I want to see the club back where it should be. We are under no illusions of the task ahead, but we shouldn't be in this league - it is as simple as that."
