With the start of the season rapidly approaching, the first team squad have been boosted with their preparations for the opening game against Ebbsfleet, with an over night stay in a hotel down on the south east coast.

Chairman Andrew Perry told mansfieldtown.net:  "We have sat down with Billy McEwan who highlighted to us the games which he would like the squad to stay over night for.  Ebbsfleet were not amongst the clubs in Billy's original list.

"However, we felt that to continue our professional approach and giving the players the best possible preperation before the game,  we suggested that this first away game should also be an over night stay."

The board are forever continuing to support the manager and his players, and we are confident that this will stand us in good stead for the entire season.
