Defender Martin McIntosh will be released this afternoon.  The 37 year old has failed to recover from a long standing hamstring problem and has been unable to return to full fitness.

McIntosh made 10 starts and two substitute appearances for us since joining from Huddersfield Town last summer.  He scored one goal - a free kick against Stockport County in September 2007.

Paul Holland told mansfieldtown.net:  "We are about to pay up Martin's contract.  I'd like to wish him well for the future."
