Lowly Barrow turned the form book upside down by gaining a 3-1 victory on a wet and windy night at Holker Street.
Two goals from Jason Walker and a Malvin Kamara strike were enough to gift the hosts a much-needed win.
The duo combined to create Barrow's opener after just seven minutes.
Ex Stags winger Neil Wainwright whipped in a dangerous cross from the left and Kamara was there to head down to Walker, who struck fiercely past Alan Marriott to put Barrow ahead.
Mansfield showed character to pull a goal back just four minutes later, however. Livewire Jake Speight won a free kick on the edge of the box and Kyle Nix stepped up to whip the ball over the wall and into the net, leaving home goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson with no chance.
It was a lively start from both sides, with Stags' Jake Speight and Ryan Williams in particular looking to put their mark on the game.
Barrow were resulted to long-range shooting efforts, and never really got in behind the Stags' defence throughout the contest, despite trying to send forward ample amount of through balls in the early stages.
On 19 minutes, Jon Shaw struck a first time volley over the bar after neat build up play.
Stags were dealt a blow when Rob Duffy had to be replaced on 25 minutes. The Welsh striker had bagged a hat-trick on Saturday and needed two stitches after being taken off. Kyle Perry took his place, returning after a three match ban.
Scott Garner was issued a yellow card four minutes from the end of the first half. The young defender brought down Barrow's Jon Shaw as he headed goalwards and the resulting free kick drifted wide of Marriott's left hand upright.
Barrow's Walker then had a first time shot saved by Marriott who did well to get down low as the two teams headed into the changing room locked at 1-1.
The home side wasted no time in the second half, and within 30 seconds after the restart, Jon Shaw advanced on a good run into the area, but couldn't make it count.
Barrow regained their lead on 50 minutes and it was a bolt from the blue for the Bluebirds which put them back ahead. Walker unleashed a crashing drive from 50 yards which arrowed into the top of the goal. It was a truly sensational strike which looked out of place in the Blue Square Premier.
Kyle Nix floated over a free kick two minutes later as Stags went in search of an equaliser.
Stags huffed and puffed but found it tough to severely test the home goalkeeper.
On 65 minutes, Gary Silk was well forward and regained the ball inside the area after trodding on it. He then managed to lay off Jake Speight who scuffed his shot as the ball went wide.
Moments later Ryan Williams delivered in a fine cross from the left, but it was just too high for substitute Blair Sturrock who headed over from 12 yards.
Barrow's final goal came on 68 minutes against the run of play. Stags were unable to get the ball clear inside the area and Marriott's punch fell to Malvin Kamara on the edge of the area, who slammed low and hard past a crowded penalty area.
Stags' best move of the match came 12 minutes from the end. Ryan Williams and Craig Armstrong linked up down the left and it was Jake Speight who received inside the area from the left-wing cross. He showed a good first touch before firing at the woodwork.
But Barrow were in buoyant mood and Camera audaciously tried to lob the backtracking Marriott from 25 yards as they looked to add to their tally.
In the closing moments, Stags may have pulled one back when Speight threaded Perry through the middle, but he was put off by Barrow's two defenders, who held firm all evening,
