Three Stags strikers were on the scoresheet once more as Mansfield's resilient home form continued, with long-travelling Barrow their latest victims.
Mansfield remain unbeaten at Field Mill since David Holdsworth took charge in December last year and judging by this latest display, it will be hard to see which side will break this home record.
Stags have now won three out of their first four including the scoring of eight goals at Field Mill.
The only headache for David Holdsworth will be deciding who he plays in attack. Nine out of Stags' ten goals have come from four different strikers.
And it was Town who registered the first shot on goal within the opening two minutes when Louis Briscoe fired at Stuart Tomlinson from outside the area after Rob Duffy's flick on.
Mansfield started brightly and they may have been ahead early on when Ryan Williams' free kick to the back post was headed perilously across the face of goal by Kyle Perry, but no one could connect with the follow up.
Stags dominated the opening quarter-hour but the visitors slowly grew into the game. However, Stags continued to press and it was only a matter of time before they converted.
Barrow were finally undone on 26 minutes. Williams scurried down the left and fed striker Rob Duffy who coolly slotted home from short range for his second goal of the season.
The goalscorer was hauled down in the middle of the park minutes later by Barrow's Phil Bolland who was rightly shown the yellow card.
Louis Briscoe was then in the clear with ten minutes to go, but goalkeeper Tomlinson raced quickly out to thwart the chance.
Williams was trying to act as provider again with three minutes of the first half left, but the otherwise flawless Kyle Perry was unable to direct his header goalwards.
Man of the Match Williams then went on a mazy run near the end of the first half, and his delicate chip landed on to the roof of the net as Stags entered the second period well on top.
Fiery Barrow were not prepared to lie down, however. Simon Spender ferociously fired towards goal with a cross-cum-shot and Robin Hulbert managed to connect with his head from inside the area, but it flew wide.
Duffy may have had a second goal on 55 when his shot was saved by Tomlinson after good work by Briscoe on the byline.
The Welshman turned architect minutes later.
Ryan Williams, again in peak form, laid it on to Duffy and his first time through ball was latched on to by Kyle Perry, but the burly striker blazed into the side netting.
The visitors equalised against the run of play on the stroke of the hour.
Midfielder Matt Somner played a poorly weighted back pass to Alan Marriott in the Stags goal. The Stags' custodian raced out to try and pump the ball downfield but the odds were against him as Barrow's Paul Rutherwood was in closer proximity and after laying it to Jason Walker he floated the ball home from outside the area.
Manager David Holdsworth made a double substitution soon after and it was a decision which paid dividends.
Louis Briscoe and Rob Duffy were replaced by Daryl Clare and Jake Speight, and it was Speight who made an immediate impact.
With two touches, he smashed the ball home with a superbly placed 20 yard shot on 65 minutes to restore Stags' lead.
Kyle Perry should have wrapped up the match on 75 minutes. By now, Stags were piling on the pressure and as Williams crossed from the left Perry rose high but directed his header over the bar.
But it was Perry's striking partner Daryl Clare who made sure of the points when Stags were awarded a penalty a minute later. Barrow's Phil Bolland was shown a second yellow card after holding on to Perry's shirt from inside the area and up stepped Daryl Clare from 12 yards to claim his first goal of the season.
It was Clare who won Stags' second penalty in the 89th minute when he went down under a Paul Jones challenge inside the area.
This time, the veteran marksman slotted to the left of the keeper as Stags recorded another four goals in front of a 3000+ crowd.
Town ended superbly, in full flow and flourishing with confidence - just the tonic they needed ahead of Ebbsfleet United's visit on Saturday.
