Stags' staff claim 6-a-side trophy
Stags Staff added another trophy to the FIeld Mill cabinet by the winning the Kent PHK six-a-side tournament yesterday afternoon.
The team, led by our head of media & communications Mark Stevemson, featured commercial manager Andy Delahunty, photographer Richard Parkes, chaplain Tim Mitchell and coach Gareth Holmes amongst others.
They narrowly beat holders Kent PHK 1-0 in a closely fought final courtesy of a fine finish from Eli Mitchell.
Other teams which took part were: Mansfield 103.2, Pleasley Stags, Stags Supporters Association and Shaun Middleton's Select X1.
Said Mark Stevenson: "It was a thrilling tournament and I was proud to lead my boys to victory."
Director Steve Hymas, who played in attack for supporters' group Pleasley Stags said: "It was an excellent day, full of fun and frolics. We didn't take the competition too seriously and our team's cumulative weight was 120st."
We would like to thank Kent PHK for their sponsorship of the tournament and to all the players who took part.
