Stags young guns support Boots for Africa

L-R: Grant Ryan, Eddy West, Billy Logan, Rob McCormick, Andrew Gascoigne, James Allsopp, Ben Turner, Tom Naylor (blonde lad kneeling) and Andreas Iaonnou (sitting)

Our youth team players are sending their used football boots to underprivileged children in Africa.

The 'Boots for Africa' appeal helps develop the skills and fitness of aspiring disadvantaged children and provides more children with the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful game.

Youth team manager David Jervis told mansfieldtown.net:  "It was a scheme which was brought to our attention by the League Football Education officer, John Barton

"We fully support this Initiative and all the lads are behind this very worthy cause.  We urge anyone who has old boots laying around which aren't needed to bring them in and our lads will clean and pack them off to Africa."

We are hoping to send at least 100 pairs of football boots to Africa
