Welcome to Derek Goodall, the Hayes & Yeading Chairman, along with everyone travelling from Middlesex for today's game, writes Chairman John Radford
Without wishing to show any disrespect to today's opponents whatsoever, today's match is a must win.
I am not writing this to put any unnecessary pressure on our players, but we must obtain three points today to ensure that we do not fall away from the pack chasing promotion.
As you all know, my aim is to get out of this league as soon as possible and I would like to be in a position in the next few weeks where I am writing about us sitting in the play-offs, rather than outside of the top five.
Next week will see me head to Football Conference HQ to discuss our ground situation and its ten-year lease. I find it somewhat comparable to being summoned to the headmaster's office, but as I have maintained from the outset, I am confident that the situation can be resolved.
Should we be successful in obtaining the ground, I will be looking to build a brand new training ground at the side of the Ian Greaves Stand, on the old 'top pitch'. This would be an ideal base for our players and could potentially be used for community purposes.
Finally, I would like to thank Rainworth Miners' Welfare for their continued help whilst our Court case with the stadium's landlord is suspended due to ongoing negotiations.
Keep the faith.
